When creating a project in Platrum one of the first and most important steps is to add and configure employees. How to add employees to the project, assign them to positions, assign the necessary rights and set up work schedules are described in the articles of this section step by step:

Step 1: Add employees

This article gives examples of how to add employees to a project one at a time or in bulk, as well as how to remove employees if they are no longer with the company.

Step 2: Review and edit employee data

All added employees end up in one list where their data is displayed, which the owner or an employee with special access can edit. Add subordinates' phone numbers, photos, birthdays to make it easier for new employees to navigate in a new team, and hr does not have to maintain separate tables to store all employee data - everything will be in one place by instruction.

Step 3. Assigning Employees to Positions

In order for an employee to have a position listed and be able to start filling out metrics, you need to put them in their position on the structure. You can assign an employee to a position using the instructions.

Step 4: Set up special rights

In addition to rank-and-file employees, there are those who are in charge of finance, warehouse, quality control, or training. Each of them needs special rights to customize the tool to the needs of the company, so that the owner does not have to do everything alone for everyone. This article describes which rights everyone has by default, and which tools require special access and how to grant it.

Step 5: Set work schedules

Many companies have a situation where different departments work under different work schedules: some work a regular five-day week, some a six-day week, some work two days in two, and some work without days off. For such cases, there is an option to specify the employee's working schedule in order to correctly display the metrics schedules. How to create a working schedule and assign it to an employee is described in the instructions
The settings of metrics themselves are described in a separate section Metrics.
